2020 was a very challenging year and highlighted even more some aspects of Simonelli Group’s DNA. The company faced the past year in the best possible way thanks in part to the dedication to work and the “sense of team” that reigns within the company where the staff as a whole once again showed itself to be an essential and valuable resource. For this reason, at its first meeting in 2021, the Board of Directors decided to award employees of the production department with a special bonus. A token of gratitude for their efforts despite the difficult situation imposed by the pandemic.
“Thanks to the commitment shown in the departments,” said Nando Ottavi, president of the group, “the company has been able to guarantee production to meet orders from its large international clientele. At the same time, despite a slowdown in market demand, the company did not resort to social shock absorbers.”
Investment programs also continued in 2020. The new Logistics Center, also built in Belforte del Chienti, came into operation, and an extensive program of digitization of production lines was carried out to ensure greater flexibility and speed of response to customers, with concomitant improvement in the quality of employees’ work.
Although innovative thinking may be innate in some people, likewise it can be cultivated and developed over time through the constant practice of certain activities such as goal sharing, training projects or such as the program, which has been active for more than 25 years, “Sharing to Grow Together,” an award to employees who present work process improvement solutions with a view to continuous improvement(read article). This year, due to the restrictions imposed by the global pandemic situation, the awards ceremony could not be held, but with an internal event in compliance with safety protocols Simonelli Group equally presented the awards to three employees Giacomo Busetti, Emanuele Rossi and Alessandro Gentili.
