Simonelli Group is participating in Open Innovation Call, a project aimed at stimulating collaboration between existing companies and startups with the goal of meeting new business needs.
If you are a startup or innovative company, you can apply to Open Innovation Call (attention you have until October 8!) and have the opportunity to present the idea that could satisfy one or more innovation needs, identified by Simonelli Group and that are part of the company’s continuous research towards more and more sustainable solutions that can reduce energy consumption:
- High-performance insulation and flexibility of use.
- Next-generation surface treatments and nanotechnology.
- Possible energy storage systems (batteries) to be integrated into a coffee machine to decrease power peaks.
To apply, you must:
1- Consult the business needs of participating companies.
2- Check what business need your company could satisfy
3- Send an e-mail to startup@smau.it by October 8, 2020 with the subject line “Open Innovation Call – company name” and indicate to which business need you would like to submit your application, presenting the solution, product or service that could meet the innovation need, link to the site and any references.
Several leading companies in their respective fields such as Angelini, Elica and Faber are also participating in the Open Innovation call project, promoted by the Marche Region and the Marche Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with SMAU.
On Nov. 12 in Ancona, during SMAU Marche, the startups selected by each company as business need winners will be awarded prizes and will benefit from a meeting at the company’s headquarters with the team in charge of innovation, having the opportunity to present their solution and start a possible collaboration. The winning startup will be hosted at Simonelli Group to be introduced to management, visit Simonelli Group’s International Hub for Coffee Research and Innovation and the research and development center.
