From Nov. 23-25, Simonelli Group will host the second leg of the Italian Barista Championships. Promoted and organized by SCA Italy, a division of the Specialty Coffee Association, the Italian Barista Championships are the most important coffee competition at the national level in which the best professionals compete in different disciplines to determine the winner in each specialty. At the Simonelli Group stage, baristas will compete in the Barista, Latte Art, Brewers Cup and Coffee in Good Spirits disciplines.
Hosted in a new Simonelli Group experiential space, the Campus, the three-day event will feature a packed schedule: on November 23, professionals will compete in the Barista competition, one of the most comprehensive competitions, which requires baristas to test their skills and perform various preparations through the use of innovative techniques. The Barista competition consists of preparing, in a maximum time of 15 minutes, four espressos, four coffee and hot milk drinks, and four custom espresso-based soft drinks to be served to the judges.
The following day will be the turn of Latte Art, where competitors must demonstrate manual and artistic skills. Supporting the baristas in both disciplines will be the coffee machines Eagle Oneby Victoria Arduino and Mythos, grinder official sponsors of the World Barista Championship 2022-2025.
Brewers and Coffee in Good Spirits competitions will be held on Friday, November 25.
Interesting workshops will also be held during the three-day event in cooperation with Brita, Alpro,LF Repa, Pulycaff and Varnelli.
