SDA Bocconi honors Simonelli Group with the Best Performance Award 2022/2023. The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 8, in Milan, where Simonelli Group received the first prize in the “Medium Company” category.
More than 600,000 companies in total are competing for the 2022/2023 edition of the Prize, this year focusing on the theme of Well Fare – the enterprise that generates value and social welfare.. Doing Good is understood, therefore, as a commitment and constant attention to people management and the social aspects of doing business to create widespread well-being that can be enjoyed by the community.
The Best Performance Award, now in its 6th year, is an annual award created by SDA Bocconi in partnership with PwC Italia, private equity fund EQT, Bureau Van Dijk, Havas PR Milan, Banca Mediolanum and Fondazione Umberto Veronesi.
The award is dedicated to Italian companies that stand out for excellence in sustainable development, ensuring business continuity while respecting the human and environmental dimensions through an ongoing commitment totechnological innovation and the generation of shared value.
It is aimed at Italian companies with revenues between 15 mln and 5 bn euros, divided into three categories (Small, Medium, Large), which are evaluated each year by the SDA Bocconi team and its partners on the basis of performance criteria covering: EBITDA, Revenue growth, Capex/Total assets ratio, NFP/EBITDA ratio less than 3.
In addition to economic and financial criteria, the selection of participating companies also evaluated and measured their technological innovation capacity and social and environmental impact actions.
The first place won by Simonelli Group among companies in the Medium category rewards the Marche-based company’s historic focus on territory and people, which is accompanied by robust but harmonious long-term growth.
In the words of Fabio Ceccarani, CEO of Simonelli Group, “Having excellent economic and financial performance is important. How they are achieved is equally important.”
