Simonelli Group is among the top 50 most sustainable Italian companies. Italy’s sustainability award, the Sustainability Award, published, in its second edition, the ranking of the top 100 Italian sustainable companies and the top 50 companies that, by participating in both editions, achieved the most significant ESG rating increases.
The award, sponsored by Kon Groupe Credit Suisse e Forbes media partner, is meant to be a tribute to those business entities that have distinguished themselves for sustainability. Each has been given an ESG Rating, issued by ALTIS Alta Scuola Impresa e Società dell’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Reprisk.
The Sustainability Award is an important recognition that has been reserved for those Italian entrepreneurs who have best expressed the ability of Italian business to innovate, renew and activate the country’s best energies for such a noble cause, and who have demonstrated that they are pursuing sustainable, inclusive and stable growth, creating added value for the community as well. The second edition, in fact, gives credit to all those who have made sustainable development an integral part of their corporate DNA, arranging their processes, systems and resources so that they can reduce their environmental and social impact.
“It was not easy to identify the outstanding companies of Italian sustainability,” reads page 34 of the October 2022 edition of Forbes, media partner of the award. “The criteria with which Altos assigned the rating and the cross-checking of the results through the Reprisk rating allowed the organizers to select the companies that most distinguished themselves and work for sustainable production. In this second edition, to the extreme satisfaction of the promoters, the average esg rating increased by about 100 percent and all companies improved their performance. The number of participating companies allowed the organizers to have a privileged angle on a brilliant and dynamic business system for which sustainability is a must-have.”
“This year we have expanded our photovoltaic plant, increasing power by 65 percent, and have pursued interesting circular economy research projects”-said Fabio Ceccarani, CEO of Simonelli Group. “We are therefore moving toward the goal of becoming totally green by 2025 through the strengthening of what we have already done-such as the photovoltaic plant, activities to reduce energy consumption, and reducing the environmental impact of our products-and we have presented our target market with new possibilities and technologies that allow us to increase and expand the business of our partners while reducing energy consumption. In addition, we will soon launch an important project that aims to strengthen business culture, networking and ties with the territory. We are convinced that when companies in the area work as a system, it is possible to achieve environmental and other sustainability goals that individually would be difficult to achieve. Being among the top 50 most sustainable Italian companies is a source of pride for us and confirms the path our company is taking with increasingly challenging goals.”
