We are delighted to host again this year the winner of the fifth Pannaggi Prize/New Generation 2022, of which Simonelli Group is the main sponsor. It is Paola Tassetti, who was awarded for the work “Conductus caecus” (mixed media on canvas, cm. 90 x 80), which is part of the series “Vegetable Anatomies,” in which the artist gives space to “a vision of the world that reconstructs the ancient powerful connection between microcosm and macrocosm, between man and nature, art and science.”
The canvas was handed over to President Nando Ottavi and CEO Marco Feliziani, in the presence of Professor Paola Ballesi, and will add to the collection of winning works from past editions that Simonelli Group exhibits at its headquarters in Belforte del Chienti.
Paola Tassetti, a native of Civitanova Marche with a degree in architecture and specialization in Italian landscape research, trained in Kyoto at Tomohiro Hata Architect and Associates and in London at Uncommon Studio Creative. His creative expression made up of diaries, drawings, site-specific installations, surreal paintings, and taxonomic collections combines an interest in landscape with research on human anatomy in which the body becomes a vehicle for experimentation and a ground for exchange between interiority and reality.
