The new adventure of Simonelli Youth Academy began last week. Seven young people have started an interesting training path up to SCA’s Coffee Skills Program certification. The first session started on Tuesday, June 18 with sensory, barista foundation courses taught by Lauro Fioretti; on Thursday, June 20, Vittorio Agosti, Fabbri brand ambassador, gave a lecture followed by a practical session of coffee recipes. The first annual Simonelli Youth Academy session closed on Friday, June 21 with the brewingfoundation course taught by Dario Ciarlantini.
But who does the Simonelli Youth Academy 2019 team consist of? Here are the young people who won the scholarship. Gilda Cuomo has a microtorrefaction in the province of Salerno, is very curious and hungry for knowledge. There are those who love to read and travel like Gerardo Della Vecchia, who has a big dream: to become a professional in the world of coffee. Emanuele Giambona, on the other hand, takes inspiration from anyone or anything that manages to surprise him. His dream? Competing in the World Barista Championships. Some, on the other hand, were born among the cups of coffee and cappuccino like Sara Giovannetti. Her family owns a coffee shop, and the 23-year-old was immediately drawn into the world of coffee. Her mission? To promote quality coffee. And then there is Larisa Londero, a young videomaker who moved to Italy from Argentina, her home country, a few years ago. Knowing coffee in depth to communicate it through social media is her goal. He has his backpack always ready to be put on his shoulder and start traveling; Carlo Mogiatti wants to invest in training and for him Simonelli Youth Academy is the gateway to enter the world of coffee. Luca Romito, on the other hand, is a big basketball fan and loves to taste coffee and experiment with different types of extraction.
